2009 Summer Skating Camp Information
3 Tracks offered:
Beginners Track
Figure Skating Track
Intro-To-Ice Hockey Track
SUMMER CAMP DATES:
1) June 22-26 - afternoon camp
2) July 6-10 - morning camp
3) July 13-17 - morning camp
4) July 20-24 - morning camp - Ice Show Week
5) August 17-21 - morning camp
Afternoon camps run from 1:00-5:00pm (drop off between 12:30-1:00pm and pick up between 5:00-5:30pm
Morning camps run from 8:30am-12noon (drop off between 8:00-8:30am and pick up between 12:00-12:30pm)
AGES: Skaters ages 5 and up are welcome. COST: $125/ week or $30/day INCLUDES: Each day consists of 2 hours of skating, a 30 minute lesson daily, off-ice warm-up, a snack break, and arts & crafts activities. Skate rental is included, if needed.BRING: Beginners and figure skaters will need warm, layered clothing, gloves, socks or tights, a jump rope, and a healthy snack or money to purchase a snack at the snack bar. Hockey players will need layered clothing, socks, a helmet, hockey gloves, knee & elbow pads, a stick, and a healthy snack or money to buy a snack at the snack bar.
*please arrive early on your first day of camp to fill out an additional camp health form.
*Multiple immediate family members registering for the weekly package may take $10 off EACH skater fee.
*Skaters registering for 3 or more weeks may take $10 off EACH week.

2009 Sport International Typical Day
8:15 - 8:30 AM: All Players & Goalies Should Arrive At Our Host Rink
8:30 - 9:00 AM: Dressing Room (Players & Goalies)
9:00 - 10:30 AM: On-Ice: POWER SKATING (Forward Stride, Tight Turns, Backwards Skating, Stops & Starts and Intro. To Checking)
10:30 - 10:45AM: Snack Time For All Students In Dressing Room
10:45 - 11:20 AM: Daily Individualized Video Analysis (Computerized Motion Analysis) - recorded to each student's VHS tape or DVD and Off-Ice Shooting (All students will shoot approx. 150 pucks throughout the week - Wrist, Backhand, Snap & Slap Shots)
11:20 - 11:50 AM: Lunch (Please see our lunch menu & pricing)
11:50 AM - 12:30 PM: Russian Training (Arms, Survey Day, Legs, Relays & Plyo's)
12:30 - 1:00 PM: Dressing Room (Players & Goalies)
1:00 - 2:30 PM: On-Ice: PUCKHANDLING (Passing, Shooting, 1on 1's, 2 on 1's, controlled scrimmages & "Pylon Cup" Game)
2:30 - 2:45 PM: Snack Time For All Students In Dressing Room
2:45 - 3:30 PM: Lectures (Counselor/Player Orientation, Rules Test, Chalk Board Talk, Equipment Lecture & Pre-Game Preparation)
3:30 - 4:15 PM: Recreation (Road Hockey, Int'l Team Hand Ball, Whiffle Ball, Kick Ball & Counselor's Choice)
4:15 PM: Players May Be Picked Up
